OUR AUGUST 26th MEETING
Hi, dear all,
We had a fruitful meeting yesterday, with almost all travellers present, and we talked about several topics regarding our weekend trips.
We decided that:
** We´ll go to Bath on Sunday 8
** Well be doing the Liverpool trip on Jan 14-15
* Cambridge on Saturday 21 (with the school)
** Oxford On Sunday 22
* London on Saturday 28 (with the school)
Those trips marked ** will be made with Discovery Tours.
And as the "school" will still owe us ONE Saturday tour I´ll ask the authorities to take us on another tour to London on a weekday :-) (everything paid, of course)
As regards the musical there was no decision taken, since everybody needs to know at least a bit about the options to be able to decide. My suggestion is: go to Google and do a search to see what these plays are all about:
The Phantom of the Opera
Wicked
Billy Elliot
(these are the three musicals offered by Discovery Tours HERE)
Once you know a bit about these musicals I'll post a survey for you to complete and we´ll decide for the one that has got most votes.
Some of the students will find out about places to have scarves made for all and will post their findings in this blog.

NEXT MEETING in August
Our next get-together will be on Friday, August 26, at 6 pm in the same place, AssistCard office, San Martin and Cordoba, 2nd floor.
We look forward to seeing you ALL there, and don´t forget to get ready to say whether you agree or not with the excursions --mainly those who have NOT answered the form yet!!!!

How about a Musical in London....?
Hi, dear kids!!
Would you like to see a musical in London? There are several possibilities, but my choice would be "Billy Elliot": go to THIS site to learn something about it. In the same site you'll find the group discount rates, that is, tickets are offered for 25 pounds.
If we go to the Discovery Tour page HERE we´ll see that for 45 pounds we could have a return travel (from Brighton to London and then back from London to Brighton) by train and guided transfer to the theatre.
Again I would need your decision, because all this should be done well in advance. So next time we meet I'd need your confirmation. You can start discussing these options now.

FOOTBALL MATCHES in England
Hi, dear all,
Yes, you can go and watch a football match while we are there, but REMEMBER I will need a PERMIT (written permission from your parents) to travel to another city, which may probably be London, ON YOUR OWN, as we have not included a football match in our original plan because not all the members of the group may be willing to watch one.
You may go to the DISCOVERY TOUR page HERE and choose a match --check dates, please!!, they might not be up yet!!-- , and then let me know about your decision, I may contact these people, as they are the ones that will take us on many tours on Sundays (very reliable people), and maybe we can get more "personal" assistance, and have everything arranged well in advance.
